Low Fat Dutch Alkalized Cocoa Powder - Rich Tasting Russet-Colored Baking Cocoa

  • Alkalized to a Medium Red-Brown Color
  • 10 to 12% Fat Content with Rich Mellow Chocolate Taste
  • Great for Baked Goods, Beverages, Commercial Mixes
  • Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Vegan

Russet Dutched 10/12 fat cocoa powder is a rich and satisfying alkalized cocoa for baking and cooking. It imparts balanced and rich chocolate taste and deep, red/brown color to baked goods, beverages, confectionery, creams, frostings, and more. Use low fat Dutch alkalized cocoa powder to create delicious brownies, cakes, cookies, ganache, fillings, pudding, or use it as a decorative dusting for confections and desserts. The Dutching process reduces acidity and bitterness, giving this ingredient a balanced, mellow flavor. This russet-colored low fat Dutch alkalized cocoa powder is perfect for bulk use in commercial baking mixes and professional bakery and patisserie applications, and makes a great staple for home bakers. Because it is alkalized, our low fat Dutch cocoa powder is best in recipes that contain baking powder as the primary leavening, or that call for both baking soda and baking powder but with a higher amount of baking powder. This delicious ingredient is also ideal in recipes that do not require leavening, making it a perfect choice for flavoring puddings, ganache, frostings, and ice creams.

I go through A LOT of cocoa and I hate feeling guilty about extra containers - they do NOT get recycled, no matter what anyone tells you. A couple times, I was able to find a store with a "bulk bin" but that tends to be really expensive and I do have to wonder about the sanitary condition of a bin into which several people put their hands. This is an awesome option and I am very pleased. I am not a chocolate snob - I like it all - but this tastes really good to me! Thanks!!!
