Description
Shredded Wood Ear Mushrooms - Easy to Reconstitute & Use
- Dried & Pre-Sliced for Ease of Use
- Adds Texture and Mild Flavor to Savory Dishes
- Similar in Taste & Texture to Cloud Ear Fungus
- NOTE: MUST BE COOKED BEFORE CONSUMING
Our shredded wood ear mushrooms are dried and then pre-sliced into ribbons for easy use. These versatile fungi add nutritional value as well as taste and texture to dishes, as they are high in protein, potassium, Vitamin D, and iron. Dried shredded wood ear mushrooms, sometimes called Jelly Ears, are commonly used in stir fry recipes, soups, savory pasta dishes, and even salads. They offer mild, earthy taste and a unique chewy texture that also provides crunch. Wood ear mushrooms are similar to, and often used as a less expensive substitution for, cloud ear mushrooms (black fungus) which are part of the same family of jelly (or jelly ear) fungus. These pre-cut ribbons can be stored in or out of the freezer and will last for up to 3 years frozen or up to 12 months in a cool, dry storage area.
