OliveNation Spearmint Oil
Spearmint oil is considered the more gentle version of Peppermint oil, suitable for use with children and others who may find peppermint too strong. Spearmint is valued around the world as a culinary herb, and for its gentle medicinal properties. Spearmint oil is sweeter than peppermint - peppermint will have an immediate strong aroma of menthol, whereas spearmint will have a sweet quality at the same time. In cooking, spearmint oil is most commonly used to flavor candies. It has a flavor similar to that of peppermint, but it is slightly less sharp.

    Dropper not Included

Posted by Pam on Apr 4th 2021

Oil should come with a dropper of some kind; whether it’s attached to the bottle or separate. I wouldn’t have ordered it had I known one wasn’t included. That is why I’m giving it only 2 stars. The oil is so strong that it’s difficult to get the correct amount for a recipe trying to estimate drops.

    very very strong

Posted by JENNIFER on Feb 23rd 2017

This truly tastes like spearmint, but without sweetness, and it is very, very strong. I've started using an eyedropper bottle, just a drop at a time. So far I've just used it in chia pudding, which was kind of weird. The flavor is definitely spearmint though. It would probably be best in things like frostings and candies that have a lot of sugar to sweeten it up. It's also hard to find, and I'm a spearmint lover, so I'm really glad I bought this.
